Murder of
John (Burrito) Klimes

On October 8th, 1981, at approximately 10:50 P.M., Mr. Klimes was killed while on his way to meet a friend of his at the Showcase Lounge in Lyons, Illinois.  Mr. Klimes and his friend were going to drive to Joliet to attend a party.  Mr. Klimes drove from  his home in Countryside, Illinois, while going through McCook the vehicle he was riding in exploded, this killed Mr. Klimes instantly.

Attempted Murder
All Star Bar & Grill

On May 16th 2008, Three Male Hispanics exited All Star Bar & Grill and had a confrontation with a patron.
The three Hispanic males entered a Green Ford Explorer and confronted the patron in front of the bar. 
The patron was then grabbed and dragged  by one of the Hispanic males sitting in the front seat of the Ford Explorer as the vehicle sped off.

Surveillance cameras captured all three Hispanic males exiting the bar.  Please view the footage and if you know anyone that resembles any of the Hispanic males please contact the McCook Police Dept.

Aggravated Arson
Tru - Vue Manufacturing

On December 3rd, 2004, at approximately 12:51 A.M. a 911 Caller reported a car on fire in the parking lot of Tru -Vue.  The manufacturing company was in full operation at the time of the fire, Investigation into the incident uncovered a suspect but not enough evidence to file criminal charges.

A surveillance camera of an adjacent business captured a vehicle in the area immediately before the fire, this vehicle departed hastily after the fire started. The McCook Police Department is attempting to identify the vehicle and its owner, please click on the link below and see the vehicle.
